Stinging Fly magazine seek writers to mark 1916 centenary

Irish magazine, The Stinging Fly, is offering up its 2016 spring edition for writers to contribute content related to the Easter Rising.

The publication will offer writers the opportunity to 're-evaluate and reclaim the vision of the 1916 Easter Rising and to engage with the state of the Republic today, the social conditions in which they actually do their writing, and to contribute to a debate on the colour of the horizon we should be aiming for'.

Published three times a year, the magazine offers new and emerging writers an opportunity to showcase their work, including short stories and features.

For the February 2016 publication, Stinging Fly will welcome submissions of short fiction and poetry, amongst other things.
