Reframing 100 Project Showcases Creative Responses to the Border and Seeks Public Submissions

Reframing 100 is a unique new project from the Nerve Centre’s Making the Future project and Gallery of Photography Ireland that aims to connect and inspire people by sharing photographs on billboards and an online instagram campaign.

Straddling both sides of the border throughout May, the billboards feature the work of contemporary artists: Enda Bowe, Kate Nolan, Brian Newman, Kevin Fox, Dragana Jurišić, Nigel Swann, Anthony Haughey, Ciaran Dunbar and Seán Hillen. All artists involved have created work which has been shared with border communities over the last five years.

The innovative project is a cross-border collaboration between the Nerve Centre’s Making the Future project and the Gallery of Photography Ireland, building on previous exhibitions The Lost Moment and Field Notes from the Border.

The work expands on the Gallery of Photography Ireland’s Reframing the Border project, a 5-year programme exploring the diverse geographical, psychological and imagined spaces of the borderlands to offer creative insights into the issues affecting border communities.
