Online encyclopedia of First World War goes live

A freely available encyclopedia of the First World War, '1914-1918-online', has recently been launched featuring contributions from hundreds of experts across the world.

The Freie University in Berlin, in conjunction with the Bavarian State Library, are managing the English language resource which combines thinking from recent historical research.

The online resource provides both a European and global perspective of the First World War, reflecting the increasingly international nature of the conflict.
