Londonderry Bands Forum will run a seven week workshop programme beginning May 16, looking at selected events from the history of Ireland during the 19th and 20th centuries. 

The course will be delivered by Mr Martin Snodden director of Northern Spring Belfast, in an informative but relaxed style that can be enjoyed by the serious and the curious in equal terms.

Workshops topics will include 'Emancipation & The Rise of Home Rule', 'Blood Sacrifice: WW1 The Somme-Easter Rising' and 'Civil Strife and NI Civil Rights'.
