Guide to Cross-Community Remembrance Goes Digital

Co-operation Ireland have published their guide to promoting cross-community remembrance while exploring the Decade of Centenaries.

Developed with the support of the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, the Common History, Uncommon Remembrance resource considers the Entwined Histories project as a model for encouraging young people to explore their shared histories.

Using a variety of multimedia and creative approaches, including filmmaking, photography and musical theatre, Entwined Histories brings the period to life for participants, providing an open environment in which contentious issues and conflicted histories can be represented and explored.

Common Histories, Uncommon Remembrance provides an overview of the project, its rationale and model, and takes it as a case-study, making available the learning that has taken place over the course of the project for other groups, organisations or individuals who are planning programmes to mark the ‘Decade of Centenaries.

The resource highlights a wealth of tools which are available to those developing or delivering projects during the Decade of Centenaries.
