Derry City and Strabane District Council Offering Grants of £2,000 for Groups Marking 1921 Centenary

Groups and organised based in Derry/Londonderry are being invited to apply for grant support for projects and events commemorating the Northern Ireland centenary.

Any group with plans to mark the centenary can apply for funding, provided by Derry City and Strabane District Council’s Decade of Centenaries 2021/22 Fund. Groups can apply for funds of up to £2,000, from an overall grant of £20,000.

The fund will be community focused, aimed at enabling local groups to engage with the events of 1921/22. Organisations and groups from all communities are encouraged to apply.

The fund is part of the council’s wider Decade of Centenaries Programme and is delivered as part of the Peace IV-funded Creative Centenaries Project, which has supported a wide range of events and activities marking the decade of centenaries.

Interested organisations must submit their applications to the council by 12 March 2021. Applications will be considered for any eligible activity planned up until the end of March 2022.
