From Home To Foreign Fields

This guide provides a history of the First World War in the Derry City, Strabane District, Omagh District and Donegal County Council Areas.

The booklet presents a short introduction to the history of the First World War in the four council areas and looks at how local people were recruited, gives examples of individual stories as well as looking at the impact of the wars and how it has been remembered.
