Conversation on a Centenary with the Historical Advisory Panel

The Government of Ireland Act came into force on 3 May 1921, partitioning the island of Ireland into two Home Rule states of ‘Northern’ and ‘Southern’ Ireland.

One hundred years on from this event, the Centenary Historical Advisory Panel, appointed by the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland, came together for a virtual panel discussion on the events of 1921 and their legacy. The discussion was live streamed from the Ulster Museum, hosted by BBC NI broadcaster Tara Mills.
