The Changing of a Nation: Exhibition and Tour

‘The Changing of a Nation’ exhibition explores a pivotal time in the history of the island of Ireland, with the formation of Northern Ireland and the Irish Free State, resulting from the Government of Ireland Act in 1920. At home and abroad, this was a tumultuous period witnessing monumental changes to political and social structures. ‘The Changing of a Nation’ highlights key events through objects, photographs and documents from the time.

The travelling exhibition is kindly on loan from the Tower Museum, Derry City & Strabane District Council. The exhibition is complemented by artefacts and histories relating to the Fermanagh & Omagh area.

Fermanagh & Omagh District Council's NI2021 Programme has been funded through the Shared History Fund, which The National Lottery Heritage Fund is distributing on behalf of the Northern Ireland Office.
