Creative Centenaries will host a teacher training session at the Nerve Centre in Derry~Londonderry this January, allowing teachers to interact with its 1916 inspired resources.

As we embark on a year of exploration of the events of 1916, this free teacher session will showcase some of the Nerve Centre's resources and how they can be used in the classroom.

Creative Centenaries has developed resources for both Key Stage 2 and Key Stage 3, including educational comic books, interactive iBooks and engaging animations, around the Easter Rising and Battle of the Somme.

This session will introduce those materials and allow teachers to get hands-on with some of the digital tasks to help make learning and understanding of events from 100 years ago engaging for a young audience.

The Creative Centenaries project is supported by the Heritage Lottery Fund.
