A lunchtime talk from Cally Blackman, renowned fashion historian and author, related to the exhibition Fashion & Feminism.
Cally is the author of 100 Years of Fashion Illustration (2007), 100 Years of Menswear (2009) and 100 Years of Fashion (2012) and co-author of Gallery of Fashion for the National Portrait Gallery (2017). Cally has published articles in peer-reviewed journal Costume and Textile History and contributed to exhibition catalogues for the Victoria & Albert Museum, London (V&A) and Palais Galliera, Paris. She has written for Acne Paper, broadcast on BBC Radio 4 and lectured widely.
She is currently a lecturer in Fashion History at Central Saint Martins, London, and has contributed to courses at London College of Fashion, Sothebys Institute and the V&A Education Department.
