This workshop, directed by Dr Nigel Hunt, Associate Professor of Psychiatry and Applied Psychology in the School of Medicine, University of Nottingham, provides an introduction as to how trauma has been understood since WW1.
It offers a wide range of primary sources that can be used to trace war-related trauma through the archives, and encourages participants to think about how they could devise their own project on trauma and conflict. Recent WW1 commemorations are reminders of the aftermath and legacies of conflict on society. All participants will be provided with a research guide and bibliography to take away with them.
