Donal McAnallen will deliver a talk at the Ulster Museum called 'Rediscovering GAA Members who fought in the First World War'.
Due to the common identification of the GAA with the Irish separatist movement from 1916-21, those who fought and died during the First World War have often been overlooked.
This talk will explore the peculiar circumstances of this hidden history and present some findings of a recent project to research the stories of Ulster men who have become known as forgotten volunteers.
Entry to this talk is free. Click here to reserve your ticket.
