Diamond War Memorial

Historian Trevor Temple will deliver a talk on how the people of the North West memorialised the First World War at the Tower Museum on June 29.

North West Ulster shared the grief and suffering experienced by many during and in the years following the war.

That grief was frequently expressed in often poignant and extremely moving ‘in memoriam’ verses, which initially made their appearance in the Derry Journal, Derry Standard, and Londonderry Sentinel newspapers during and in the immediate years following that four-year-long dispute.

Free entry.
