Work from a range of directors woking in 1914 will be showcased at a special event in the Ulster Museum on Saturday, December 13.
With feature films still rare in 1914, picture houses offer an ever changing roster of short films.
The event in the Ulster Museum will recreate a night at the cinema in 1914 with a collection of comedies, dramas, travelogues and newsreels - including a comic short about a face pulling competition and scenes of Allied troops celebrating Christmas at the front.
Before the screening, Ian Montgomery from Public Records Office Northern Ireland (PRONI) will introduce a talk about Irelan in 1914. His talk will also include pictures and documents from PRONI's archives.
Admission to the event is free and tickets can be reserved on the day.
