On April 17th Kabosh, in partnership with the South and East Belfast committee of Ag Fìorú na Poblachta, will bring the history and heritage of the Short Strand to life in a one-off promenade event.
Combining spectacle, theatre and music this unique outdoor performance will mark 100 years since the Easter Rising. Audiences will be brought on a journey through Short Strand, encountering previous residents connected with the events of Easter week in Dublin 1916.
Four original plays will be performed in exterior locations across the Strand by a team of esteemed local actors: Stephen Beggs, Maggie Cronin, Gerard Jordan, Gerard McCabe, Carol Moore and Antoinette Morelli supported by costumed actors and singers from the community. People in period dress are more than welcome to mingle and play their part.
