PRONI will celebrate the Home Front from the First World War as part of the 2014 Culture Night celebrations in Belfast. 

Join PRONI for an evening of music, mirth and commemoration of the early days of the First World War. There will be sing-a-long songs with such old favourites as ‘It’s a long way to Tipperary’, ‘Mademoiselle from Armentieres’, and ‘We’re here because ...’.

There will also be readings from ‘The Turret' ,the magazine the Mackie’s women workers compiled, a slide show of war-related cartoons and poetry reading from some of the best of the war poets as well as one or two other surprises.
